Hot on the heals of Affectionate Grooves’ debut release ‘Smile’ , the label returns with 4 more killer tracks from Kachina dropping the highly anticipated ‘Heisenberg’ EP . In stark contrast to the Smile EP, Kachina takes you down a much darker road with what can only be described as them taking a more spiritual angle on UK bass music.
We’ve caught up with Kachina to get to know their Top 5 tracks of 2015.
“Firstly, what a year of music! 2015 has seen every music genre give us absolute bangers and is hard to narrow our favourites of the year but here is our top 5 and in no particular order…”
Mac & Pasteman – Oh Baby
“Right from the off the tracks deliver, old skool sounds combined with 2015 production skills this track is a classic! On the drop the distorted 808 bassline is pure filth & the breaks on this track fit perfectly.”
Prangman – Herschel
“All about that reece in this one, Prangman has a unique sound that blends dark bass heavy garage, techno and old skool vibez together very smoothly. This tune brings to mind a mad scientist cooking up some crazy monstrosity in his laboratory!”
Rene Amesz – Like It Deep
It has a deeper more tekky vibe, the style of drums and vocal choice is typical of Rene and this combination of sounds are perfect for the tech house scene which is so huge in ibiza at the minute. The second drop with added elements from the first goes off in a club, recently visiting Ibiza ourselves this year, this was defenately one we shazamíd!
Flava D ft Miss Fire – Closer
“Classic soulful garage Vibes here with some lovely vocal harmonies. This is one smooth and sexy tune, fast paced it keeps on changing throughout so you’ll want to keep it in the mix for a long time.”
Champion – Execution & Bowsers Castle VIP
“Had to say both tunes as they’re both equally sick, Execution perfects that Midlands style bass sound and Bowser’s Castle is a flawless 8 bit symphony. Champion deffo one to watch out for next year!
